Hello! My name is Kelley Le and I have been in the educational field for over a decade as a science educator, instructional coach, and educational leader. I have also served as the California Science Instruction Specialist for the Lawrence Hall of Science’s program, a curriculum consultant for the UCLA Curtis Center, and a program developer in the areas of climate change education, NGSS, transformational coaching, and mentoring. Currently, I am the Director of Science Project at UCI where I work with an amazing team of transformative educational leaders.
My ability to support teachers stems from my personal experiences as a former student of the LA inner-city schooling system and successful teaching experiences in high and low SES districts. I approach program design and facilitation through the lens of an experienced teacher, instructional coach, educational leader, and researcher. I am committed to positively transforming schools by supporting teachers everywhere. |
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.”

Recommendations"Using her experience teaching and researching environmental education, Kelley Le has written an important book to support educators interested in guiding students to understand and confront the climate crisis. This accessible book is written for teachers with clear explanations about complex scientific concepts and practical applications for teaching that connect to the NGSS standards. This should be part of every educator’s library and tool kit."
- Dr. Jeff Share, University of California, Los Angeles, USA ----- "If you're a science teacher feeling daunted by the task of teaching the climate crisis, Kelley Le has written this book as a practical guide specifically for you. Teaching Climate Change weaves together both how to teach the NGSS curriculum standards as well as less-defined questions on how to approach the climate crisis with a focus on solutions and student action. Crucially, Le helps teachers connect the dots between climate, racial, and social justice, which is a missing link that many teachers are looking for support in teaching." - Rebecca Anderson, Alliance for Climate Education, USA |
